Sign Workshop was established in 1986 and has continued to trade from premises in the Gillingham, Kent area since then. For the first year or so most of Sign Workshop's signs were traditionally painted signboards and vehicle liveries.

However, it became increasingly clear to us at Sign Workshop that signs produced with the aid of computers were going to account for a large proportion of new business. This was mainly due to the fact that customers were becoming more aware of the choices available to them, and were asking how these new products compared with traditional signs in terms of durability, appearance and price.

Few signs are now produced without some reference to computers. This should not mean that they all look the same, or that layout has to suffer. At Sign Workshop we offer the advantages of traditionally learnt skills together with the benefits of technology and modern materials.
